There is another thread on this gun that I didn't want to completely hijack, so here is my initial impression on this $389 Turkish 1911. Not too shabby, I've paid a lot more for a lot less. Its a plain jane 1911A1. The sights are rudimentary, but usable, better than GI standard IMO. The finish, I'm not sure if its a proper parkerized finish or a matte cerakote, but it looks good and shows nearly no wear after the first 150 rounds. I used a mixed bag of factory, reloads, ball and hollowpoints. And a menagerie of mags that I have laying around. It ate everything without a hiccup. No complaints on accuracy 20210928_135946.jpg
That was off hand at 10yds

And the head shots there were out at 20-25yds
She gave me the slightest whiff of hammer bite after 150 rounds, not enough to draw any blood, just enough to chew up the web of my hand a little bit...just enough to know you're alive:D

Overall I'm rather impressed. I'll take her down, have a look at the inside for any wear or peening, but it seems good to go to me. And not too bad looking... 20210924_234422.jpg
Apart from some wood grips that I have at home, and maybe a dab of white paint in the front sight, I won't be making any modifications to this one. I've found there is nothing so expensive as an inexpensive 1911 once you start fiddling with it;)

I've enjoyed mine, an A2-type, quite a bit. Definitely a solid pistol you can truly enjoy, but also won't get too worked up over if you lose it somehow. Mine doesn't have the replica "US" markings or the lanyard; kinda wish it did Even though it's not authentic, it's still pretty handsome.

I have the same pistol and am extremely happy and impressed by it. It is a great gun at any price point, but at around $400, it’s a steal! When they initially released them, they were $350 which still blows my mind.

Congrats and enjoy. I think you'll find the frame and slide to be well fitted and solid, mine (B45 carry model) seems so after almost 600 rounds of hardball. I'd be buying one of these A1 models if I could find one NIB at MSRP. Based on mine I would keep an eye on the plunger tube and ejector. I proactively replaced my plunger tube and found it was not properly staked as I removed it. I waited on the ejector and replaced it when it actually did come loose a bit around 500 rounds. Still worked. I think you get a lot for the money with the Tisas.

Nice, shop i went to didn't have that model, but it seems to be on par with the rock island tactical line

There was a sharpish edge on the hammer that drew blood on mine; a buddy had a similar experience with his. Radius that edge with a fine file and call it good.
Other than that, no complaints; well fit and finished, works reliably, shoots straight. Comes with a parked MecGar magazine.
