You continue to do righteous work, Dave Workman. Please keep fighting the good fight in Seattle.

It's just too bad that it needs to be fought at all. :cuss:

OK, IANAL, but this link appears pretty clear to me -

RCW 9.41.290 State preemption

How can any "city, town, county or other municipality" (including Seattle) get any traction in this area?

Just because he's mayor of Seattle, it doesn't apply to him?

I'm quite upset at this, and I don't understand how politicians think they can ignore laws they don't like.

Some on those in the left wing believe that laws should be passed as a symbolic act. Such statutes may be useless, unenforceable and even illegal or unconstitutional. But that doesn’t matter to them. It’s the thought that counts, and feeling warm and fuzzy is what rings their bell. You will find the same thing in San Francisco. I don’t think there’s a known cure for stupid. :banghead:

Screw Seattle.. San Franciscans couldn't take the crime from their own craphole city and decided to invade Washington. Now their liberal brains have started to turn Seattle into a hellhole and they want to make Seattle go down the same path and worse. I am seriously considering escaping this state.

Please forgive my rhetorical rant.

It is just so frustrating to watch stupidity in action.

Washington State had a reputation as pro-gun -- I hate to see it slide toward "the dark side".

Nickels is just grandstanding. :barf: He likes to see himself on the news, and right now he needs a smoke screen so he dredged this crap up again. I hope he does enact this executive order. I'd love to watch him on the news as he's arrested by State Troopers.... :D Deliberately circumventing our State's preemption law carries a pretty heavy penalty does it not? I don't think McKenna would hesitate to file charges....

For the record, I'm a registered voter in Seattle and I've never voted for Nickels.:)
