Selling then re-buying old favorites- anybody else have that problem?

I have sold, then repurchased a VP9 and a P07. This is actually my fourth turnaround on a P07, as they've had model variations, but I decided on the one I liked. I have purchased 3 Glock 17's through the years, as if you're a gun owner, you must own a Glock, but I eventually decided a Glock was not for me.

I sold an M&P40c 1.0 to a friend that desperately needed a carry gun when I was convinced I needed something smaller, after having carried that M&P for over ten years.

A couple of years later, I decided I needed an M&P40c again and bought one just like the one I sold. Then I decided I needed a safety and bought one with a safety. Carried them for a year, then finally decided that 9mm was fine for self-defense and bought a Sig P365, with a safety. Have had it for a few months and still love it. I occasionally carry the M&P40c in a leather OWB holster out of nostalgia.

My favorite carry gun years ago was a Walther P99 in .40 S&W that was in olive drab. Loved that pistol! Had to sell it due to financial reasons. When I got back on my feet, they changed the design to the current monstrosity and have never found another one like the one I owned.

Never. Likely never will either. Every gun I've sold has been because of specific reasons. Never because of $$, just something that irked me about a particular gun or a change of interests.

I have grown a lot more picky as I age though, so a lot of guns come in yet do not stay.

Several. I have had several USGI M1 Carbines come and go for who knows why. I have a Universal now with GI parts in it. Lets see, have had many sks's, mosin nagants, bulgarian makarovs and feg pa 63's that I have boughten and sold through out the years.

The only gun that stays put is my Star Super. She has a permanent home with me.

Sell??? Why O why would one do something so bad as sell a firearm? Having been in the gun of the month club for 20+ years I find acquiring much better than selling. I can count on one hand the firearms I have sold or traded over the years. There is going to be a beck of an estate sale after I pass.:D I am still trying to catch up to gunnies Mosin closet though!

Not really though I wasn't pleased to sell the Sig 229 back in March. That was directly attributable to needing $ because of the Corona Virus and a job not coming through at that time. Had bills and that was a fast sell. The pistol went to a good home so that was part of the consolation. I do plan to get one back.

I have bought and sold 4 uzis over the last 10 years.
I love the gun, no, I lust over that gun.
I fondle them, I take them down and clean them, I shoot them, then reality hits me in the face and I realize I just don't have any real use for one.
3 full size 9mm, and 1 mini 9mm.
I suspect that if I found a "deal" on another one, I wouldn't be able to control my urge and would have to buy it.
When it comes to an uzi, I am a pathetic soul.
But, I am still on the lookout for a selectfire uzi and will mortgage the farm if one comes around...yeah, pathetic.

If you keep watching GB they having a very nice as in gently used Security 6's for 600-650. More frequently they want 700. A Security Six w 4 in. barrel is on my watch list.

Twice.
Sold a German P225, 1987 (actual 225, Not a P6) to a friend who gifted it to a family member.

" " Ruger Mark IV Standard.

Replaced both with identical guns, identical series, from the same countries.

Owned a Crossman pump-action bb/pellet gun at age 14 in '69. If they still produced them with a similar quality, would gladly buy another.
Bought a second in '80 and and it was lower quality, along with having clearly weaker gas pressure.

I have a couple, I sold a Remington 760 in 30-06, with 2 extra 4 round mags and 1 10 rounder...and ammo for $300 . That was when we were buying our first house. Was able to pick up a 7600 in 270 a couple of years back for $450. All in all that worked out, the 30-06 bucked like an angry mule, and the poly stocked 7600 is much more comfortable to carry, 270 is more comfortable to shoot. Then there's the Taurus...Taurii? Anyway have sold 2 TCPs and bought 3. Can't say I really like that pistol, but it fits the role better than anything I've tried to replace it with
