I had an interesting morning this morning. I took a batch of handguns out and shot them from a rest at 10 yards, just to compare them against each other. (ok, I have an 01 FFL and I collect and shoot all my guns also.)
My first hand gun(they were all hand guns) was a CZ Champion in 9mm. (all 9mm ammo was with 124 gr. FMJ bullets and either 4.2 gr.s of W231 or 4.4 gr.s of W231.) This ammo was loaded with a Dillon 550b.
The Champioin shot a 2" group and a 2 3/8" group.
The next pistol was an SP-01 in 9mm,(ok, they don't make it in .40 yet.) it shot a 1 1/2" group.
next was the CZ 85 combat that I have. It shot a 2" group
Next was the CZ 75B in .40. it shot a a 2 1/2 " grouip
Then was the CZ P-06 in .40. 4.5" group was the best It will do,(I was not impressed with this gun.)ANdone need a CZP-06????
These were a reshoot from acouple of days ago.
I read about the Zastava M-88A in the Dillon "blue book" and wanted to try it.
So I brought two of them.
From the same rest as the above guns the M-88A shot a 1" and a 1 1/2" groups and that's with a 3.5 in barrel. The only problem with the one I shot was the slide wouildn't go back into battery every time. Looks like it could us a new recoil spring. EAA are the inporters for the little reskles. I could learn to like them
The next pistol was the Bersa thunder 9mm full size. I got a 1 3/8 and a 3" group out of it. the 3" group was with a slightly different powder charge. 4.4 to 4.2 grains of W231
Then it was time for the CZ 75 BD(that's the one with the decvocker)
it shot a 2 inch group with 4.2 grains of W231 and a 1 1/4 inch group with 4.4 grains of W231.(that was my IDPA gun till a job got in my way of shooting IDPA.)
Then it was time for the Argentine High Power. I always like these guns and this proved it.
I got a 1" group and a 1 1/4 inch group.
Then was the CZ 40B, 180 gr. FMJ/with 4.9 grains of W231 and 180 lead bullets with 5.7 GR's of W231. Both shot 3" groups
I've got another CZ85 (not combat or "B" model) it shot groups of 1 7/8" and 1 3/8 groups( the smaller group was with 4.2 gr.'s of W231.
Then I pulled out a CZ 75B in nickle. it shot 1" group with 4.2 grs of W231 and a 1 3/4 inch group with 4.4 gr's of W231.( The CZ (9mm are very accurate shooters)
Then a sphinx in .40, 2" with 180 FMJ or 2" 180 lead.(.40 as per above.)
I ran out of sweat about then, (it's HOttt down here in Tx.)
