Sent the NRA some money

I am a Life member. Been a member (not Life) since 1965. I was a member through the Kennedy assassination and the horrible loss of gun freedoms that came with the 1968 gun laws.

In the 54 years I have been a member I have never sent any additional money to the NRA because they have always held their own.

Believe me, they need the help now. Maybe I am soliciting and this thread should be locked. And I'm OK with that. But it's something that I needed to say.

I will send money to any organization actively fighting to protect and preserve gun rights/2A.

We are at war with the antis who are clear and present danger to our gun rights/2A and we need to help build our war chest.

States are throwing the time, effort, and money that should be spent to controlling crime to fighting organizations like the NRA. Enough of that.

As has been mentioned, fighting in the courts is where the money is needed the most.
The NRA-ILA is where the money we send is used in the courts.
Right now that is where any contribution needs to go.

There is no chance that I will re-join the NRA or donate anything to them until the following things happen:

• LaPierre is gone.
• Nugent is gone.
• There is a mechanism designed for instructors to influence curriculums.
• The Board election mechanism is expanded to include all members.
• Financial waste is cut down (like sending me current instructor creds years after I dropped my membership.)

Until these things happen, the NRA is broken beyond repair, and will not get any money, time or anything of value from me.

Yep, send the money, lawyers are costing the NRA $93,000 per day.

i've been an ARA member since 1960. For years i contributed until it hurt. The NRA will get nothing from me until WLP is gone and the NRA operating rules are changed.
