I was wondering if anyone knows if any of the Serpa holsters fit the FNS-9? I have a Serpa for a Glock 19 which does not fit and I like the Serpas.

Anyone else have the FNS-9? What do you run?

Friend of mine has an FNS 40 for home defense and swears it fits in the same holster for his issued Glock 22. Might wanna try that.

Good to know labhound. Do you ever have to tighten the retention or does it stay where it's supposed to?

I only adjusted it once when I first got it to get it to the retention level I wanted and haven't had to adjust it since.

One of the commenters on their site said it wears on the gun more quickly than other holsters, do you find that to be the case?
Looks like a decent rig.

I would get anything but a Serpa. They are one of the worst designs on the market because they set you up for a negligent discharge into your leg.:what:

Any holster which requires you use your trigger finger to disengage a retention mechanism is horrible and setting people up for failure. :banghead:

I wouldn't recommend it if you're a new shooter, but I've put thousands of rounds down range in several different training courses and never had an issue. The only people who seem to get into trouble with a Serpa are those who don't seem to have much trigger time. But we don't need to turn this into a review of the Serpa.

Thanks labhound, I'm definitely going to try out that holster, for the price why not?

No.

I don't like Serpa's but that is not the reason. If your finger is on the trigger before you are on target, you fail. I don't care what kind of holster you have.

The Serpa I have index's my finger where it is supposed to be during a draw. NOT on the trigger.

Again, I don't like Serpas, but they are as un-safe as the guy pulling the gun.

I've been dealing in holsters for many years. One thing I've learned (especially about the high tech holsters) if it's NOT made for the specific firearm, don't use it. You can create all kinds of issues. The manufacturers are good about mentioning "incidental fits" (those that will work). Safariland does make some holsters for the FNS models, you're best to go that route to be safe.
