That said, I suggest that you register a complaint with the range and inform them of the way you were treated. No improvements can be made unless the management is informed. Of course, they might just blow you off, but it's still input from a paying customer, and they would be wise to heed it.
Understood, and I'll take it under advisement.

Other than that, I had a great time. :) :)

Yep, the Los Altos ROs can be annoying, but today they were downright obnoxious. I cannot understand the rule against moving cased guns during ceasefire ... as if an AD under such circumstances would be worse than at any other time. The same RO who was griefing us was later hovering over a group of 3 shooters at the pistol line, almost ignoring everyone else. His attitude seemed to be, "a group of friends shooting ... they must be about to do something wrong!"

But get this esheato, Los Altos has some of the most liberal rules of bay area ranges. Every place around here has a rapid fire rule, and no other place has something like the tin can range. :(

Anyway, it was still good to see everyone again. It's almost 10 and I still haven't put all my stuff away from today's shoot. :)

It was great to get to see all you guys. I suggest we find a BLM spot. That is cental to most of us. And make our own little range. And Handle safety ourselves.

I will look into this. But thanks to all for coming. I got to shoot some cool Sh*&. And I got pic of me with a 1919 for my album. Not bad over all.

What a great day that was to shoot! BOB was up and we had a pretty good turn out.

A few pics:

The Girl™ and my M1A - Girl: 62' from toe to tip. Maybe 120 all wet.
M1A: 44' from flash suppressor to butt and 11 lbs. And yet she loves it so.

And again with the Remington XR-100 that her daddy got her for Xmas.
I do indeed love my Texas Girl (and her daddy).

Good times and we didn't have to wait forever for the coals to get hot for the BBQ... and as always we cooked too much food.

I guess that means that more people have to show up next time!

Pictures? We don't need no stinking pictures, we need VIDEO, dangit.

PLEASE help me by right-clicking (Windows) or option-clicking the URL below. Please please do not try to stream this video. Gracias!

HOLY SMACKERS that's a 90 meg download. Get it while you can... the server above uses my office bandwidth so I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop from the "IT GURUS" here who will probably freak out. If someone can host a mirror, I will be forever indebted. Otherwise, I can burn CDs later.. .but get it now if you want it! LOL

I got some photos of Stevo's buddy getting a "talking to" from the range nazis in there..... Lets do the next shoot on BLM land. And I promise to stick around next time for the full day, and to eat breakfast first so I'm not passing out.

Oh yeah, and ILL BRING MORE AMMO NEXT TIME!

Sven, I uploaded the video to Google Video, giving you credit for the movie.

As soon as they verify the movie and make it live, I'll post the link.

I waited to get home before DL that monster; pretty good stuff Sven.
After watching I'm reminded of how much I hunch over when I shoot.. gotta watch that.

Anyway, I just uploaded it to YouTube here. Should be live in a few minutes.

Great shoot... glad to see and meet everyone. BLM land sounds like a great idea next time too... I always prefer open land to controlled ranges. You get to do your own thing.

clear creek

Me and my bud think clear creek might be the spot. I will go up an d camp before the shoot. And build some Targets, find a safe place, etc.

Any other ideas are of course welcome. stevo

C mon, hippies dont read grids! :neener:

It is about an hour and a half outside of hollister. And it is huge. Look it up on the web. It is a national, BLM type place. I will try to find a link and send it to you.

And I will map it when I get a chance. Give me a couple of days my bro ho.

As I am boiling like six hours a day up on the training field at work. It got sunny and everybody wants their dog trained. I gave three group obed classes today.

Im cooked like lobster bisk.

Damn it I missed the shoot. Been so busy getting my car back on the road for the MOPAR car show I just havn't been on line that much.

About 8 or 9 months ago the guy who runs the place told me 1919's were fine I wonder why they changed their rules about the 1919's.

A nice accessory to go with your 1919.

back

I am back from Kauia. My buddy ernie from the shoot, is doing a helo op up in the clear crek area and is recon ing it for us.

How does Augest sound for us?

Mmm early August? I'll be in Texas.
But I'm not going to whine about it; if I can make it great, if not, well there will always be other times.
