In the knife "collection" drawer of my shop is a well patina'ed vintage Schrade Old Timer Sharpfinger. It seems to always find it's way into my hunting pack pocket during hunting season as that extra/back up knife.
I also recall that way back in the 1970's it seemed like most of the "hippies" and "biker" types in the Pacific NW were carrying one of these as well. (If you see an old one for sale check the lanyard hole for charring.. )
I know they aren't tactical but they were/are a handy little knife and take a decent edge. The only down side, to me, is that light weight crappy leather sheath that they came with.
Anyone else here a fan..?
