Shield Plus Optic ready…what optic footprint?

I’ve looked several places including the S&W website but can’t find the info on the optic ready footprint.

Does it use plates? Is there a footprint that will mount directly to the slide? I’m hoping it is the RMSc footprint, but want to confirm. Thanks!

This may or may not help...but I just went down this same road. Decided to go with the non-optics ready version and send directly to Floyd's to have it milled for a EPS carry, barrel/slide ported and have them install their back up sites. Also going to install a new Overwatch precision trigger, think it will make a great package once complete.

Per the manual at the S&W website, it looks like a red dot mounts directly to the slide. See pages 45 through 47.

That’s a great optic. I’ve been buying Swampfox Sentinels for my slimline Glocks and have been very happy with them. I’ve got 3 of them.

I want to try the Shield Plus…but I couldn’t find where it identified the specific optic footprint.
