I'm researching/ looking for a good pair of hunting gloves. something to wear to keep hands worn but still be able to function a rifle or pistol. care to share the make / model of your favorite gloves?

I have some old black suede gloves with Thinsulate lining I bought at a farm store years ago I wear all the time until it gets well below freezing. The suede sticks well on gun stocks and are not slippery like nylon gloves.

Then, I go to a "glo-mett" type Realtree cammo glove / mitten I buy at Walmart for about $9-$10 bucks.

They have thin nylon full-finger gloves inside that allow you to manage loading firearms, trigger finger, etc with the mitten folded back out of the way.
But the mitten part folds over and covers your whole hand when you don't need individual fingers.
Mitten covers have strong magnets in them to hold them open, or hold the pair together when you aren't wearing them.

We had -1 degree and -18 wind chill this morning and my hands were toasty warm all morning!

The ones I get a Wallyworld are kind of like these except full-finger inner gloves, and cheaper.

Us calvary & brigade quartermasters are the best for gloves & boots. Should find something to fit your needs. I bought a poly-balaclava from brigade in 1981 & still have it in 2011.

For handguns I have used a PAST glove for years. very comfortable and durable.
For cold weather shooting I tried a mechanicswear glove with the padding and it works great.
