Short-barrel shotgun?

Right, built as a handgun with a rifled bore = [strike]NFA[/strike]
What do y'all think about this as a HD weapon (not primary)?
Same as the Judge, I don't think it is the best option; very far from it in fact.

Seems like a gimmick, personally. One of those "Huh, that's kinda neat" guns that doesn't serve any practical role.

Now I don't see it as "just like the Judge."

This looks like a fun and relatively cheap toy that could look good stuck in one's belt when going to CD's Smoke Pit in Moscow, Idaho, a barbecue place where you get 10% off if you're open carrying.

It would actually work better than a Judge for car seat duty, since it doesn't have a cylinder gap. That doesn't mean I'd choose it for that, but I'd choose it over a Judge.

The point is, it's relatively cheap. A fun toy that doesn't break the bank: how many other guns are there like that any more?

If it looks fun, it will probably last for as many rounds as a sane person would ever care to shoot through a shot-derringer.:)

OTOH they might make derringer skeet a SASS side-match. Then, you would want to have a similar gun custom-built with steel.

My FFL transfer dealer sells those. They have rifled barrels. It'd probably be a heck of a snake gun / range toy / conversation piece.

Do these guns have a choke tube that will stop the wad rotation that causes the shotshell patterns to be blown to hell? At $165, probably not...
