I finally picked up a Benelli M1S90 Tactical for 3Gun. It's got the ghost-rings, straight stock, and the mag tube extension.

I have two problems with the stock.

1. The distance to the palm-swell of the "straight" stock from the trigger is too long.

2. The stock is too long.

What are my options for replacement?

I can't go to a pistol grip because I need the magazine capacity for 3Gun.

thanks!

I was going to suggest the Speedfeed stock but you didn't want a pistol grip...I heard some smiths cut down the plastic stock on the Benellis but they hate doing it. I wish the Montefeltro youf stocks (12" lop?) would fit on the M1S90's.

:( sorry

The Gunsite custom shop performed stock shortening services on Benellis back in the day, for around $100. I don't know if they still do. I'd contact them at gunsite.com.

A coupla options occur to me....

First, most smiths will shorten the stock for you and repad it.

Second, CheekEze makes a hunk of flexible plastic that oughta fix the overlong/ too loose radius, pricey for what it is, but easy to apply or remove.

Various bowhunting supply companies offer Formagrip(sp?), an epoxy mix that one mixes and smears onto a bow grip, then grasps to form an ergonomic grip. I've seen this used on synthetic stocks. Applied over masking tape, it can be removed w/o major hassle if it doesn't suit you.

Or, layer electrician's tape to build up to the right distance, spray paint to match the stock and cover with Skateboard tape for a good grip.

HTH....
