Shot a Glock 30 today and loved it!!

My friend met me at the range today and let me shoot his subcompact Glock30 and I let him shoot my new SP101. My first five shots at 15 yards were right below the center of a paper plate in a 2" circle. He cursed at me and said, "I bet you can't do that again." Well, I did it again. That Glock is sweeeet. There is no snap to it and the gun seems to recoil back at me instead of up, which I found to be interesting. I just can't believe that I like it so much because I could not shoot the G19 that I had for squat. Anyways, I found my next semi-auto to buy!

when your gun is reliable, there's nothin to talk about. Usually there's no more than 2-3 replies in my HK/Glock range report, although I've seen pages of replies on other platform.

You need to try the G29 before you decide on a G30

Yeah right now I am trying to decide between the Glock 30 or the 29 for CCW. My 20 needs a friend.

A lot of Glock aficionados think the 30 is the single best Glock model. I wouldn't disagree. I use mine as my primary HD hand weapon.

Love my Glock 30, I have the OD frame and the 3.5 disconnector. One of my favorite guns because it always works and it shoots better than I can.

I picked up a G30 about the same time. I am thoroughly impressed with this handgun. Perceived recoil from my perspective is roughly half that of any 1911 I have fired.

I admit that it's not the slimest gal around, but what a great little .45.

I think the G30 is second to only one other Glock, and that is the G29.

It's just amazingly accurate, reliable and surprisingly comfortable to shoot.

I'm not a Glock fan but I agree with that. My G30 sits in a Sidearmor IWB most of the time.

Shot a Glock 30 today

Love mine also and as most I have several boxes of my favorite 230 gr. load.

A while back I tried the Taurus 185 gr. HEX load (not a +P like Cor-bon's) and like it very much. Not a lot of recoil but will still expand to over .8 inch and penetrate into the third milk jug filled with shredded paper and water.

My brother carries a G30 for years.He let me shoot it at the range a while back.Low recoil and very accurate pistol.If it fits you, it'd be awesome for carry.If I didn't like my USP45 so much, I'd might consider a G30 or G36.

Well, I traded my XD9sc for the G30 because I could not hit squat with the XD9sc. With that said, the Glock may be a little wider, but I don't think it would be much. I am not sure about the weight difference.

I cannot compare to the XD, but the G30 is going to depend on your size imo. I am fatboy sized and it pushed in to my hip to the point it was painful. I could only carry it OWB. The weight was about perfect though.

I agree on the weight being about perfect. I ordered the Bare Asset from highnoonholsters so I can't wait to see how it fits IWB. The one I ordered for my XD9sc was quite nice. The stitching is very tight and for $24.95 I have not found any other IWB that compares to it.
