Now there's a shooting stance I've never seen Tom Knapp try.
I don't know why... maybe I'm just too nice of a guy, but I actually feel bad for him.
Both for him being so so dumb.... and for the pain he endured.
He brought that pain on himself.... but man.... I doubt he was intelligent enough to know what he was getting into.... if he was, he wouldn't have done that.

Seriously though, my group of shooting buddies have never played around with firearms recklessly. We've shot all kinds of targets and have been overly excited, but no one ever got hurt or close to it!
He does not represent my generation. He is certifiably a jackass.

What the heck where they thinking. I had no idea people could be this stupid.
I wouldn't have even tried that with a gas-operated gun like a Remmy 1100 and the lightest loads I could find.....and I will at least sort of admit doing a number of dumb things, particularly in my [somewhat] mis-spent youth.
Maybe he will get a Darwin Award if it turns out he has "Chlorinated the Gene Pool." Or at least a Darwin "Honorable Mention".
I do sort of very vaguely remember some sort of Military Training movie, where they did that with an "M-16" type rifle, but the demonstrator did put a large thick pad of some sort between rifle butt and "Family Jewels".

After getting over the initial amazement, sympathy, and humor... something bothered me.
He acted like he had some familiarity with the SG, had probably shot one before. Wouldn't even a low functioning IQ know what outcome to expect?

Even an idiot who'd never fired a shotgun before would have realized something bad was happening when he complained about discomfort simply from holding the shotgun against the testicle, before firing.
That's why it's funny!
And perhaps this should be put in the Strategies and Tactics forum, so people can decide which martial arts class they want to take - a self-defence class that uses martial arts to teach kicking the balls and running, or traditional Karate or Jiu Jitsu or MMA classes which lean more towards art than martial while focusing on competitions.
That is stopping power!

What is REALLY sad is that there was an adult present. At the first of the video the kid with the AK clone turns to the camera and says "Dad are you getting this?" So the breeding stock for this group had bottomed out way before they got to that field.
