Show Off Your 45acp

My two favorites:

Colt Series 80 1911A1 Government, total custom build by Karl Beining of KGB Customs. All small parts replaced with Wilson Combat or Harrison parts, rollmarks redone by Bertram the Engraver, Novak gold dot front sight and black Harrison Ledge rear sight, top of slide serrated with arrow pattern, French bordered, ball cuts, rounded and blended mainspring housing, 30 LPI serrations on MSH and front strap, polished flats and brushed rounds, high-gloss desert ironwood burl grips by Wood Caliber with silver Colt medallions.

That is gorgeous!

I guess I have a fondness for not only .45 ACP but anything 1911.

These are all Colt Series 70 with a few Gold Cup in the mix. One of them is a .38 Super in this mix.

Then I have a few older ones. This one is a maybe 1941 or 1942 Remington Rand and I have the original GI holster.

My choice for carry.

I also have an all stainless version of the above. I never expected the accuracy from a 3" .45 ACP but these two little Kimber guns surprised me.

My brother has a love affair with guitars which matches my love affair with 1911 guns. When a guitar he had to have came along I ended up with another Colt New Model 70 which while is sweet I really didn't need but ... When a price is right...

This is my oldest 1911 and an in work gun. It does have wood grips now but I need a mainspring housing with the lanyard. This one sports a 5 digit serial number with a 1914 manufacture. Considering a pre WW1 1911 while not great it could be much worse.

The above came from an aunt and belonged to her father along with the below Auto Ordinance after they were bought by Kahr Arms.

Since there seems to have been a resurrection of the 40 and 10mm, why not resurrect the 45 ACP thread with my Springfield mil-spec in 45 ACP?
Featuring a sneak peak at the future! Dad and I are getting our class 03 SOT for this coming tax year and I will be getting a SilencerCo Hybrid 46M as a do all suppressor for everything but my CZ 457 which has a SilencerCo Sparrow on it.
sadly it won't exactly fit with the threaded barrel on it in my Bianchi leather holster so I'll have to get a kydex one instead or just open carry it in my Blackhawk holster. Now if there was a way to get a holster that would work with a suppressor...

Small update y'all. That threaded barrel I got was for a para ordnance lol. So I got a Nighthawk GI style drop in threaded barrel! The barrel cost half as much as my whole 1911 lol. Sadly my Bianchi leather holster is useless now... So I open carry it with my Blackhawk holster.
