I picked up a used Sig P229 DAK in .40S&W last week and what a sweet shooting pistol it is! :D I was really surprised with the DAK trigger! I thought it was sort of clunky when I first shoot one a couple years ago, but this one is really nice! Smooth even pull and you can "ride the trigger" if you so desire. I tend not to do that, but it's smooth if you do. Anybody else like the P229 and/or the DAK trigger? I'm so used to shooting Glocks and didn't want a traditional DA/SA pistol and this one fit the bill! :D:D It had some really thick Pachmeyer wrap-around grips that I quickly switched out to the wood grips. I put it through the paces at the range an not a single issue. I shot our club defensive pistol match with it today and shot very well with it. Glad I picked this one up!

Sweet P229. IMO the P229 is about as good as it gets for a .40 pistol. Mine is a plain Jane non rail DA/SA model. Love those wood grips. Nice shooting.

Congrats on your new pistol. :) I don't have the DAK trigger ,but I am a fan of the 229. I bought some rosewood grips for mine, but have since sold them as they made the grip a little too thick for me.

Mine has develped an extraction problem. It is with my gunsmith currently. It should be sorted out soon. It is what I consider to be my 'highest quality' pistol, yet it is the only one that has developed a problem. But things happen. I still love it and can't wait to get it back. Here's a pic from when it had the rosewoods:
