Sightron S1 4x12x40 AO

Has anyone ever used this scope? AO to 8 yards to infinity. great price and I have a 7% off coupon ?? think this would work on air rifles as well as
LR rifles?

I have a couple Sightrons that are very good. Last winter my LGS got a deal on some S1 models. After looking at them my dealer and I were both unimpressed. Glass was very mediocre. I don't know if it was this exact model but I would be reluctant to order without looking at it first and I wouldn't order from Optics Planet at all.

I like Sightron scopes, and have 5 of them, 2 S2 Big Sky (discontinued) and 3 S3 models, but no S1s. Extrapolating from my experience, I would guess that the S1 is pretty good for the money, but not nearly as good as the more expensive scopes from them or other manufacturers. It's my understanding that the scopes are actually made in Japan and the Philippines to Sightron's specifications, which of course vary by price range. So, I would not expect high-end quality.

And, I, too, would not order Anything from Optics Planet.

Optics Planet is the last resort for me. I believe the way they do business is unethical.

I’ve mentioned it on this site before, I’ve never seen a Sightron scope, and there are a bunch of places to buy scopes around here. I’ve always heard good things about the Big Sky, I wonder why they cancelled them.
