The OP has never loaded a round of ammunition in his life, other than shotgun shells. All you're doing is confusing him. All he needs to do is buy the dies, the components and a loading manual, and then follow the directions. That will get him what he's seeking. If you read his posts, he's shooting very little and not worried about case life, etc. He just wants to hit his deer with ammunition he's made.

You guys are absolutely correct that the OP needs to get a good manual, read it, and start loading. Finding a mentor is probably better, but not absolutely necessary.

Right or wrong, I just wanted to throw out some ideas that I wish someone had clued me into when I was starting out.
