It looks like I'm going to pull the trigger on my Cimarron 7 1/2" Frontier purchase in the near future.
Since I'm NEVER (let me emphasize NEVER) going to carry the gun, much less with six in the cylinder, I'd like to replace the cylinder axis pin with one with only one correct installed position. I've read about the problems people have had with the OEM two position pin, and wish to avoid them.
Is there an [easily available] replacement which works like the stock Colt pin?
I don't know what's compatible, whether it's original Colt, Ruger or something else. I do know that Brownell's is out of stock on the Colt pins.
I know a bit about SAAs and clones, but haven't had ANY hands on experience since shooting a friend's EMF Dakota in the mid '80s.
