Traded for a 1970 Ruger Single-Six a few months ago. Posted about it here.
Looked like this...
Decided to send it in to Ruger to have them refinish it. They did a re-blue, fitted it with a .22 mag cylinder, replaced the grips, and did the "safety upgrade" / transfer bar install (however, they returned all the original parts).
It now looks like this...
And yes, it is the same gun! It is beautiful! I am SO glad I had them do the work. I'd thought about trying to re-finish it myself.
Haven't shot it yet, but looking forward to doing so. The trigger is not -quite- as nice as it was before the safety upgrade, but it's still very nice - and I would imagine it will get better.
And, I know I'm going to get asked... It was just north of $300 for the work.
