Sizing up case necks

I'm sizing cases for .357 Herrett from .30-30's. I'm using Rooster case forming lube on the shoulder and it's ok

Problem is the necks are getting crushed when I try to pass the expander button through. Any ideas on the best way to lube inside the necks??

Use a q-tip with your lube on each one?

Or try sizing to an intermediate size, first, like .32 before you go to .357?
