I put a Pachmayr on my little 20; they were the only ones I could find who make a 1/2" thick pad.

It's really sticky, though. I really preferred the Old English pad with a hard heel, but it's too thick and I didn't feel like sawing off the stock of a discontinued gun.

Does Slick-Eez work on other materials besides Kick-Eez pads specifically?

A search turned up silicone, hockey tape and electrical tape as other options.

Anyone else tried these?

Did they mean silicone rubber or silicone grease?

Rubber cement to attach a layer of thin smooth leather maybe? ArmorAll? I don't know what stuff might make it less sticky and what might dissolve it- might want to call the manufacturer for suggestions.

Back on topic, when I used to shoot a lot of Sporting Clays, I would just put a couple of pieces of electric tape on the top 1/3 of my pad to prevent it from getting hung up on my shirt... Worked fine and was easily done/undone. Cheap, too.

YMMV, of course.

From Brownells website regarding Slick-Eez:

Can be used on any rubber recoil pad (except Terminator brand).

I say go for it.
