As the OP I should have been more explicit.

There is something to take away from the Thread.
Is the take away, that this is not actually a survey thread asking the forum members ...

but rather a thread stating you prefer to use the "over hand power stroke" or "sling shot" method and for those that choose to use the slide lock/slide release to release the slide, for whatever reason (it's easier, it's faster, it's more reliable with their pistol, etc.), you're going to get killed on the streets.;)

No, it was intended to just be a simple survey. I wanted to change the whole survey, but could not. Actually wanted to run one day not 7. No need to start a argument into this. Moderator please delete the thread with my permission or just lock it now. Thanks I can see where this is going.
We will declare the slide lock as the winner. (if winning is what this is about)

Before the lock...

My point was you were looking for the winner and you wanted the winner to be the sling-shot. Folks were answering the survey, with why they used a particular technique, and you kept bringing up why the power-stroke or sling-shot was the superior method and the flaws to using the slide stop/slide release.

In addition, your OP said...

Sling of course

You could have just said "Sling-shot", or "I prefer the sling-shot method because the guns I carry and how I operate them, it works better for me." However, the "Sling of course" indicates that's how it should be done, and why would somebody use some other technique?

When folks commented on their technique, with their guns, you didn't just say something like, "that's interesting, and I'm glad it works for you", you kept bringing up downsides to their choice of technique. If you like the sling-shot or power-stroke that's great, rock on, but you asked "whether they used the slide lock or sling-shot". There shouldn't be push-back, in a simple survey thread, for a technique they prefer, that you may not.

I don't need to, I don't care what technique folks use to chamber a round with their guns. As long as it works for them, they can do whatever they want.

If they were to say they were having a problem with the technique they were using, I may tell them to try something different, but otherwise, they can do what they want.
