Slimmest 9mm?

I suspect (not having taken calipers to it) the thinnest overall might actually be Beretta Nano. But PF-9 has a thinner body and slide, not counting the slide stop. Kahr P9/CW9 is as thick as Nano _and_ has a protruding slide stop.

Why?
The PF9 was the thinnest when it came out.
Since then others have either matched or came close.

Unless you’re looking for every hair, I’d look for the gun that suits you best and not worry about the absolute thinnest. I say that as someone who likes his PF9 but loves his XDs

Ruger lc9s is very slim and the trigger is fabulous. If safeties aren’t your thing, you can get the Pro model that has no manual safety. There’s even an EC9S now. Same as LC9S but milled in sights.

The KT PF9 is as light and slim as I'd want to go in 9mm. I've carried one since 2010, and I can manage it easily, but it is rude in the hand.

The Diamondback hit the market as the new then-slimmest and then-lightest pistol in the caliber, but gave up a round in capacity to achieve that.

I can't think of any carry-scenarios in which I could conceal the PF9, but not any of the other mentioned offerings. It's getting to where most of the the six-and-seven-rounders are pretty much the same in size.

Kahr has been at the top of the game for a long time. When discussing tenths of an inch there is a point where you have to compromise too much. Kahrs are generally recognized as being some of the easiest high round count shooters on the market for their size, equaling full sized guns.

^......thats it! Other than the micro 9 1911's the only real pistol that small is the PM9. A tad too large for pocket carry for me but a pleasure holstered.

I'm not sold yet on the DB9's.....have two of them but not failure-proof yet.

I think once you get to the inch mark it's all personal preference.

My EC9S is thin enough to carry iwb, but thick enough to be comfortable to shoot. I think it comes in around .95"

The nano is a skinny pistol too. I liked the one I had but i traded it for something I liked better.

Rohrbraugh is the smallest 9mm ever made it holds 6 + 1. They are VERY well made although no longer in production. Remington bought the company then ruined it. Do NOT buy a Remington . There are some Rohrbaughs around. There is a website http://www.rohrbaughforum.com/

I seem to recall that a Star Model B that I had was rather slender in the width of the slide and frame. I found measurements for the Star Model BM on hipowersandhandguns.com and they have the slide listed at .84", the frame at .70", and at the grips it's 1.23" across.

Karh is still the slimiest... they also handle the recoil better due to the lower bore axis provided by the offset feed ramp.

The Kahrs are nice little pistols, but they're beat out by several in the width department. Granted, we're talking guns that are within 1/8" of each other, but nonetheless.....

Whether one likes them or not, fact remains that the Diamondback DB9 is the thinnest and lightest 9mm semi auto extant.

Does anyone know what the slimmest 9mm is? Kel-Tec PF9, perhaps?

Here I have listed a few from narrowest width to widest:

Diamondback DB9:
Length: 5.6″ (142 mm)
Width: 0.79″ (20 mm)
Height: 4.0″ (102 mm)

Ruger LCP:
Length: 5.16 in (131 mm)
Width: .82 in (21 mm)
Height: 3.6 in (91 mm)
Weight: 9.4 oz (270 g)

Kel-Tec PF-9:
Length: 5.85 in (14.9 cm)
Width: 0.88 in (2.2 cm)
Height: 4.3 in (11 cm)
Weight: 12.7 oz (360 g)

Beretta Nano:
Length: 5.6 inches (14 cm)
Width: .9 inches (2.3 cm)
Height: 4.17 inches (10.6 cm)
Weight: 17 ounces (0.48 kg)

Kahr P9:
Length: 15 cm (5.8 in)
Width: 2.3 cm (0.9 in)

Remington bought out the Rohrbaugh design, but only make it in .380, not 9mm.
Just about every report on the RM380 I've read is a positive one, especially how Remington is selling them for about 1/4 of what the original manufacturer did. Of course the Rohrbaugh level of quality isn't there.
No complaints about mine at all - a very good value .380 that I have only $170 invested in. It works just fine so far. If Remington made it in 9mm like Rohrbaugh did and for the lower price, then I'd take a chance buying one based on my experience with the RM380.

But then again I like Kahrs too. ;) :D

The Remington nines are of course a different story, plenty of complaints about them - more than we could shake a stick at.

The R1 1911 is a decent 1911 for the price, but it would be pretty tough for anyone to screw up JMB's design.

I'm beginning to believe that full-up loaded weight is going to be more important to me than thickness is. Regardless of how thin a gun is, if it is heavier than I'm comfortable with, I won't carry it. And that's not good.

I think the more practical man would average out the the height, weight, length and width, erring on the side of what applies more to the individual for proper concealment.
