I am relatively new to the shot gun slug world+ I need some HELP!!
I got a good deal on a LNIB H+R Ultra Slug 20ga. It has the VERY HEAVY barrel+Laminate stock. I mounted my like new Burris 2X7X35 scope on it.
My main question is, can I/should I, use standard RIFLED slugs to sight it in?? I realize that the sabot type of slugs will shoot to a different point of aim, but will I hurt anything by using the cheaper rifled slugs to get on target??
I really do NOT want to fill the rifled barrel of this "Monster" with soft lead from the standard rifled slugs, but also, I really do not want to spend $3.00 per shot to sight in??
As said, I'm new to the shot gun slug world, but have loaded metallic center fire for almost 40 years!!
Thanks in advance..Bill.
