So I'm thinking of buying a Smartcarry holster for my snub nose J-Frame and was wondering if anyone else has any experience carrying a revolver in one. I'd do a different set-up, but I need to have an appendix carry for work since I have to bend down to pick things up often.

I've used one off and on with a J frame first, and later with a Colt Cobra. Once accustomed to the rig, I found it very comfy. More so than any other appendix carry I've tried, that always seem to be jabbing me somwhere.

I Smart Carry a J-frame on occassion. While not my prefered method, it has a place.

I use one every once in awhile. I even ride a bicycle with one sometimes. When I ride my bicycle I turn the holster until the gun is on my strong side. Works great.

I never thought to move it over for strong side. The holster seems more appealing with that setup.

I have a security model SmartCarry (size medium) and it works very well with one or two J-frames (1 7/8", 2 1/8" or 3"). One can be quite active while using this mode of carry (I mountain-bike pretty vigorously while SmartCarrying).

The J-frames are probably my favorite guns to SmartCarry.

Should be fine, as long as you don't mind always using the stall in bathrooms.

Nah, you can use a stand-up just fine. You pop the top button on your pants and flip the "apron" up toward the "target surface" and do your business. No problem - it takes two times before it feels totally natural.

I guess you checked their website?

There is a fellow on the Forum who has used his to carry two J frames at one time or one J frame and other "goodies". He says it really comes in handy wearing sweats.

Wow...I've never used one, but that looks super uncomfortable and slow to draw.

Is that a J frame in a smart carry holster or are you just happy to see me?
hehe
Seriously though, does it make your pants bulge out a lot? It looks like it works well with sweat pants, and probably real well with pleated khakis, but how about jeans and flat fron khakis?

It looks like the smart carry could be the best deep concealment holster, but I'll stick with my kydex IWB holster.

I should take a pic of it with my shirt tucked in...
