Smith 41

I have a friend who has a PRISTINE 41 that he purchased from someone who was selling off his collection, and he is curious as to what year of production it is. I couldn't find any way to search for this on S&W's website, so I am hoping someone here may have a book or some other way to identify it. The pistol is Serial# A596905

Toby, your friend's Model 41 was made in either 1979 or 1980. Hope this helps!

Tell him they're extremely particular about what ammo they'll both shoot well and cycle the action with too. No two of 'em will shoot and cycle with the same ammo. Even moreso than other 22's. The price of said ammo means nothing either. He'll have to try as many brands as he can to find the ammo his pistol likes.
