I finally found one of the ugly little revolvers and snapped it up. Does anyone have experince with them. I am curious to know what the frame is made of...I have had Scandium framed Smiths, but they usually have the little atom on the side plate. I have seen the new Smiths in L and N frames and understand they are Scandium. Is the 625-10 frame Scandium also? Thanks; Al

I shot one, and it was most unpleasant. The high barrel axis plus light weight made standard ACP ammo way too snappy. I have no problems with a .38+P FBI loads in an Airweight (442) revolver, but this 'un was just too much for me.

Scandium frame, stainless cylinder, so it gets the "6" vs "3" numbering. Mine is the same weight as my 325, 22oz. The sights and shorter barrel make up for the extra cylinder weight. Recoil is snappy, but tolerable. Factory ammo tends to underperform badly in the short barrel. I carry a handload that pushes a 200lswc at 900fps, and isn't bad in the light gun.
