"Finding brass that doesn't wiggle in the moon clip or require pliers to get the empty brass off the clip after shooting."
Just get de-mooner if your fingers can't take it. They're no worse than loading double stack pistol magazines in my experience (most of my brass has been Hornady).
As far as "slow reloading," there is a fast and obvious solution; Hornady FTX LeveRevolution bullets. You cut the case back ~.1" for the extra bullet length (their brass is a bit shorter from the get go) and load it like you normally would for a similar bullet weight, and you'd be hard pressed to jam them up on their way into the chambers. I'll never be anywhere as close to Jerry, of course, but I can "slap" these pointed bullets into the gun without looking just like he does, and it didn't take much practice. Carrying these clips without getting made is still difficult (not bending them is easy, use a moon clip case like you're supposed to). I wish someone would try to make half-moons, since I think they would work fantastically for carriers; the clips would be weaker, but probably still good enough, and much flatter. I found the Five-Star speedloaders much harder to use; they both hold the rounds even more loosely, and also totally obstruct the cylinder making it hard to quickly see what's wrong when they hang up on something. They are very nicely made though, and the only option there is for less than 200$.
