so, i bought a S&W 629-6, that came with a scope. i want to put a standard set of rear sights on it, but i see they make several sized blades. how do i tell which size to get. i don't want to be shooting way high or way low. i know they are adjustable, but i don't know by how much.

Call S&W, tell them what you are looking for. They will use the serial number and let you know what rear sight it was shipped with. You can then order all needed parts from them.
Bowen Classic Arms has a S&W sight height chart by model -- the first measurement is the S&W sight height followed after the slash by the Bowen equivalent.
