Snappy .380 pistols

I've shot a PPK and a Beretta 84, which are on the large and more shootable side for 380s, and they still snapped like heck. I'm in no hurry to shoot the LCP type micro 380s.
Both blowbacks, hence the snap. What you're feeling is the slide, smacking the frame at the end of its stroke. The LCP really isn't much fun, but it's not as bad as its size might suggest.
I've gone to the Smith Bodyguard; same size as an LCP, more weight, much milder recoil.

So I’m an occasional .380 user, slipping the regular LCP in pocket during urban rucks. I’ve put a decent amount of rounds through this little thing. I keep reading of how snappy, uncontrollable, or inaccurate these guns are. What are people talking about?

My XL mitts hold the thing like a toy and every shot makes me ponder the lack of umph this marginal (but better than nothing for sure!) pistolola has to offer. Zero concern for recoil though; it shoots soft.

What gives and what am I missing? Who finds these little marginal pistols to be hard/painful to shoot?

Here’s a mag shot at 7 yards with God Dots. Again, marginal fight stopping performance but EASY to shoot. What say you?
My arthritic hands find the recoil unpleasant after four rounds in my max?
but that's only because of the arthritis.
no complaints about accuracy, or functioning.

Incredibly great shooting pistol… double taps , accurate and fast

Worth a bump. I bought one of these recently - my first .380 caliber pistol. I would not describe the Ruger Security 380 pistol as "snappy" or "unpleasant to shoot." I enjoyed shooting it the first time, and I'm an old guy with achy hands. I am still breaking it in, and experienced a couple FTFs in the form of not feeding a round all the way. Those went away after 100 rounds. I'll have a more accurate assessment if this is a good carry gun or not after a few hundred more rounds.
