So...I bought this Taurus...

Trigger on my g3c is actually pretty nice. Not a real light but the break and reset are pretty crisp and well defined.
Its cleaner than my p10c, and miles ahead of any Glock ive shot. Not as good as my Caniks tho.

The more i shoot this gun the more i like it. Rested i could clang my 10" gong at 90yds easily, shooting free hand hits were probably 2-4 per magazine. Next time im out ill probably bite the 30 dollar a box bullet, and buy some factory ammo to test accuracy with. I was just shooting my buddies random handloads.
The dots a cheapish Cyelee, a company id not heard of. It held upto a couple hundred rounds and has been left on since I got it a month ago.....very happy overall.

I may take some heat for posting this but the trigger on the Millenium Pro PT-111 G2 I had was inconsistent. It honesty reminded me of the cap gun I had when I was a kid.

Is that one of the ones with the internal lockey thing?

Not if I recall correctly. Like someone else posted it had the second strike capability but it was a sproing sensation. I don't mind some weight in a trigger if it is clean/smooth. But I really disliked that trigger. Some people don't seem to mind it. They must have made it better in subsequent models.

I have a taurus pt709 that I've had for many years, think it was $169. It's been 100% reliable for the 500 or so rounds I put thru it. Trigger pull is long but breaks fairly even.

must have, mine is quite good and from talking to my ffl buddy its not an uncommon trigger for these guys.

My G3 trigger is way better than my Glock trigger.

The Taurus Security System can be defeated with a bent paper clip. Someone has posted a YouTube video showing exactly how it's done.

Furthermore, all the "keys" are the same. Just a small hex wrench with a hole drilled in the center. Since each gun is supplied with two of these, there are plenty available on ebay. I have several that I acquired in spite of myself. I don't even have a gun that uses the TSS.

Dosent really surprise me lol. Ive actually never seen one with a lock. The Taurus autos arnt real popular out here.

Supposedly, the Taurus PT92 (Beretta clone) started using the lock around the year 2000. I have one on order that was made in 1998. We'll see whether it has the lock, or not. If it does, I'm removing the lock. Instead, I'm putting in a hammer spring support (plug) that has the lanyard ring. Provision for a lanyard is more important to me than the silly lock.

That sounds like a good change!

I won a Taurus G3 last year at a banquet and the thing has proven to be trustworthy. It fits the wife's hands better than mine, so it's hers but it's been a reliable pistol, not a complaint other than swapping the sights, which luckily are Glock based.

I have a PT25, in .25ACP.

Ultra reliable, I prefer my Taurus to the Kimber I threw away after it choked on JHP.
Taurus is very reliable and I wouldn't doubt them for a second. Anyone who has isn't being honest.

No they are hanging on to experiences based on Taurus guns made more than about 5 years ago.

After the lawsuit induced recall for their 24/7 and Millennium guns I thought they might be done as company in the US, but they really turned it around with the G2C that I got in exchange for my recalled Millennium 9mm, and they really knocked it out of the park with the GX22. With a lot of long lived brands the lament is "they don't make 'em like they used to, but with Taurus it is a very good thing that they don't make them like they used to!
