I've got a couple of SKSs for that niche.
How well do they suppress? Are they efficient and still suppress in a short barrel? Do they cycle subsonics reliably? Where do you buy subsonic 7.62x39mm? Had much luck loading 220rd bullets and fitting the magazine and throat?I've got a couple of SKSs for that niche.
I think it is pretty close to ideal as a subsonic suppressed SBR. Turns your AR into a .45 +P MP5 up close but has much longer legs. The Seals probably wished they has such a nifty package in '89.Mike has a good point, it is a jack of all trades and master of none. Lots of rounds beat it at one thng or another but it can do a little of everything, just not best at anything.

I deleted some off-topic posts that were derailing this thread. This thread's not about Fudds or Mall Ninjas, nor a debate about whether suppressors are cool and useful or just more tactical gimcrack.
Take something like the 458 socom with 500g bullets with a BC of .287 everything else the same as the two above and you get a MPBR of 110 yds with 1224 ft lbs at the muzzle and 1068 ft lbs at 100 yds. That is a loss of 6 feet of range inside the same window but a gain of 590 ft lbs of energy.
Other than the can, why would you need a tax stamp? Build as a pistol and you don't need one.Without a tax stamp, this is what I am stuck with.
With a tax stamp, or two, you can really get it compact.
