Getting rid of 10 round mags gets rid of most firearms they fit in. NY will be a state of 1911s and shotguns with a few bolt actions. If they can't ban them they will make them useless. If you have a magazine that holds more than 7 rounds your are a criminal. That is the plan, period. These guys are pushing hard.
I wouldn't be surprised if people with FFL's start charging crazy rates to transfer firearms to buyers in other states. When the ban does go into effect those same FFL holders, all firearm companies, and firearm accessory companies will leave in the biggest exodus since Moses. Then anybody who really truly believes in the 2nd Amendment and wants their firearm rights will leave. It will be a state of the Rich, the Polititians, the criminals (some of those will be people that didn't leave and have these high cap 10 round mags) and the welfare receiving voters. They will have one notable distinction after that:
