A Match Champion in 41 special, it will never happen in a production gun.
I dont think that's the original model space gun. I remember seeing Al Ljutic's son shooting it on the line at "the Grand" in Dayton about 1981. It was an underside bolt action. It had a round button trigger iirc.I finally achieved one of mine, after 40 years of wanting one:

A Ljutic monogun; This one is a Handicap Limited Edition, #18 of 25. Next, a 9mm of some sort. Then maybe some other Trap guns, always wanted an Ithaca 4E, a Browning BT-99, and the Holy Grail of Trap guns, for me, the Ljutic Selka:

Yes, that's is the serial # 003. This one sold recently for $10,000. The Space Gun is neater looking, but having held one, it seems awkward to load.
No, it's not..You are right, the Space Gun is a very awkward to use underside bolt action. I've held one and worked the action, and I'd rather not do it on the line. Makes the Browning Recoilless seem easy to work. Al Ljutic took the two advances the Space Gun had and built two different guns with them. The Selka (ser. # 003 pictured above) had the high stock and rib, built on the Mono Gun action, and the Dyno-Kick modified the Mono Gun action to included the recoil reducing effect of the firing pin mechanism of the Space Gun. The Dyno-Kick took off, of the Selkas, there were less than 20 made. I actually am considering a Dyno-Kick also, they can be had in the $2500 range.I dont think that's the original model space gun. Some Selkas also have the round button trigger. Dyno-Kicks do not.
Oh great. Now I gotta have one too...
