UPDATE

i got it working

i watched Several YouTube Videos on the 1851 Colt navy
Trigger guard Assembly and Disassembly.

And was able to get the trigger working again :)

i am not too sure how or why it locked up when it did but
But all works fine now

Hello

i had recently obtained the Uberti 1849 Pocket from Taylors .

i was able to take it apart (all but the trigger guard.)
Polished and cleaned it up, but i can not seem to get the revolver
out of half cock position.

i can go to quarter cock or half cock but i cant go any more before i put the grips back on so i can put the Cylinder back on.

Any help please

Like anything else, disassembly/reassembly gets easier with practice.

Thank You i even chose a screw driver set for now i hope its decent.
It is a weaver compact Set that some say its good enough for the colts.

The sizes i cant figure out though as i did watch youtube on a colt navy and he uses 3 drivers his name is dualist and another fella
Waffen Munitions though he did not seem to concerned with the Screw driver choices he seemed careful enough.

Dualist sugests

180-3 head for most screws on colt
340-4 head mainspring screw
240-4 trigger and bolt spring

Already i see a scratch or two on 2 or 3 screws (shakes head)

My weaver set only lists them by number like 128 and so on but no dashes.

Each one goes by width and thickness.

So i have to kinda guess which is best without stripping a screw,
which is one thing i hate doing.,:banghead:

i do not know much about Uberti this is my first i ever even held one lol.
I chose it as my first Uberti .31 Mosquito chaser.

i had converted my Pietta SS Buffalo to with Kirst which came out very nice though.
