Neighbor called me to come across the street and join him for some pellet gun shooting, of course!
He has a Umerex Gauntlet with a variable scope, up to 24X.
Target was set at 50 yards, backed by 1/2” plywood, sitting in a steel yard cart.
Have to say I was a little shocked to be getting 1/2”-3/4” groups with an air gun at that distance. Another shock was the pellets were penetrating the 1/2” ply and leaving pretty good dents in the metal cart.
Lots of quiet cheap fun, for me anyway. We refilled the gun with a compressor afterwards, I got the impression the gun and compressor weren’t inexpensive.
I did offer to pay for pellets, but was refused. Nice day, nice visit.
