a stainless steel double-action revolver with a four-inch barrel...
Allow me to introduce you to The Harem.
Jezebel - S&W 629
Brighid - S&W 686
Morgana - S&W 67
Lilith - S&W 63
Is it my imagination or did S&W stamp that sideplate off center? And of the two guns, do you find any one more accurate than the other? (I took my Ruger 2.75-inch out to an outdoor range and was shooting at orange clay pigeons at 100 yards. It was amazing how many I hit (and if I didn't hit them I was hitting damn close), and yet the National Coalition to Ban Handguns and other groups years ago were telling people that short barrels on handguns were only good at "table top" distances.Yep, I do like 'em short. 4 inches is tops, but 3 and 2 1/2 inchers are my favorites.
Yes, but the original model 60 was just a regular .38Spl. 2" J-frame, basically a model 36 Chief Special in stainless. No target sights, no enclosed ejector rod. Pretty much a different gun.
