Something new, 22lr reloading component's

I had some .40g 222 dia. jacketed bullets a long time ago and nothing that needed them. Just for fun, I pulled a bullet from a .22LR case and poked one of the jacketed bullets into the breach of my Remington 510, followed by the loaded .22 LR case. It fired just fine, but I had no way to judge the performance and I wasn't going to do 4 more for a group.

Eventually sold the jacketed bullets to someone who had a use for them.

Can't see many folks buying that offer in the OP.

My thoughts as well... that's the only reason I would be interested in reloading 22 rimfire. Though, I would want 22 Short cases, to shoot from an old S&W Model 1.
Same here for the same gun. But there is a source of 22 short primed cases of you don’t mind pulling the bullets.

These ar LR length due to the size/weight of the bullet loaded in 22 short cases.

29 grain bullets are the hard to come by component. Though one can always buy 22 short, pull the bullet and powder and load with black. Crimping becomes the challenge either way.

For that kind of money you REALLY have to want to shoot at things far away. I must admit that the idea intrigues me. Fortunately, I do not have that much disposable income,
Would love to see a target.

Oh definitely! I enjoyed shooting golf balls at 300yds but 1000yds is a whole nuther kettle of fish. When you need a Vudoo and a periscope to get the elevation, shooting lathe-turned solid copper bullets, I humbly bow out.

Well that dern thang would be cheaper and shoot better without that thang blockin the scope! Load her up with some thunderbolts and go! The lightnin bolts on the box makes em faster.

More seriously, I am assuming that’s a device to account for bullet drop. At 1000 yds is it still a rifle or is it a mini-howitzer? You’re getting into indirect fire territory there.

Solid copper is for wussies. A real man would use D-38 for his long range precision rimfire work.

Amen

Ah! Ii this that new end-all be-all round I saw on several youtube 2A influencer channels? The 22 LR-D GrendelCreedmore? D is for, deluxe. Or blast from the past, De-groovy:cool:

😆😁

One other thing you'll need.

Would anybody else get a bit of the wobbles knowing you're holding a case by the rim while doing the loading, and knowing the rim is primed? That seems rather sketchy to me. Even though it's 'just a .22' I wouldn't want to stop one with my face.
