I have had many handguns, and I want to start to sort them out now that the big 60 is coming up this month. So I got rid of most guns I haven't shot for years. Picked a keltec pf9, for those times I just couldn't take a gun with me that I really wanted to,Weddings and all that happy stuff. I have a titanium 38 revolver, that just spoiled me, it is so light I have to check sometimes to make sure it's there. So I have a Taurus titanium, a Seacamp, and a Keltec 9mm. Now I still have 2 compact Glocks left, A model 23, that is like new, no rail sitting in the safe for years, and a model 30, that I take with me when I am feeling the need to go into Dodge City, (Miami), I got rid of my commander size 45 para that held 13, and just sold an xd 9 sub compact that I traded for a while back. So I think I want to get rid of the 40, and get a sub compact 45. Whew I'm tired already, question is, how good are those little Kimber 3" jobs, the "SIS" and the "cp2", or do I get a new Sig carry 220, or the 1911 clone sig just came out with? thanks for the help. I realize it's subjective, and I have no real "use" other than I want something for my birthday. By the way that new 1911, 45 that Taurus is making is quite nice, I fondled one in a rediculous store the other day, he wanted $650-700 or so for it, and I just couldn't do that for a taurus, maybe it's just me.

Since your only reason is to buy yourself a nice birthday present, do yourself a favor and buy a decent quality 1911 and then build it to be exactly what you want.

Parts are reasonably priced and readily available.

In your lifetime and my lifetime .45 is the caliber by which all others will be judged.

Sounds like you need a good toy.
