After many years without a Sig I have a 226 9MM again. I’d prefer factory mags but I know Mec-Gar makes them. I checked Greg Cote and only see the 10 rounders. I know I could buy used but then I’d have to replace the mag springs so no cheaper doing that route.

This is a 30 year old 226. Sent it in to Sig for an overhaul and new sights. All it needs now are new mags. I want to keep the ones that came with the gun out of circulation for now.

Lots of new Mec-Gar magazines available on GunBroker, both standard capacity and 20 round.
Check your local gunshops, mine carry Sig Sauer magazines. Sig mags are usually close to $50 each
Other online sources:
Midwest Shooters Supply
Natchez Shooters Supply
Brownells
Midway USA

Gunmagwarehouse is my go to also.Excellent service. They have 226 Checkmate 15 rounders for $24 .Now these are good magazines, not like promag and other junk. I have a 9 mm threaded SIG 226 barrel and only put it in my ..357 Sig for suppressor play. The Checkmate mags work fine. If I was carrying a 226 they would only have SIG or Mec-Gar mags and I do not like most plastic floor plates on Carry guns. They print because they are larger and if you ever drop one like I did a SIG made one on asphalt and had it spill all the rounds and was useless.
