Somewhat new to the state here. Wondering if anyone has light to shed on the chances of Constitutional Carry soon in South Carolina. There are a couple bills on their way and rumors are that at least one could get a vote early next year with enough support to pass. My searches online produce quotes from Gov. McMaster that make it sound like he would then sign on but for whatever reason the talk at my local gun shop is that he has some reservations. However I can’t find any evidence of that.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can clue us in?

Yeah, in all fairness SC is already a pretty 2A state as is. The Governor and Legislature are both generally pro-RKBA. There's a lot to like about SC, especially away from its largest cities (which have the problems of large cities all over the US).

We love it here. Didn’t do my homework though and was caught off guard that the carry laws didn’t match most of the South.
