sp101 bobbed hammer.

I am interested in finding a factory bobbed hammer for my sp101 for carry.

Anybody have any idea where I can get one? Midway doesn't seem to list them and when I google them I end up with pictures and questions.

Send the gun to Ruger. They will change it over for you. As far as I know this is the only way to get it done with new factory parts. I checked into it a while back as I was trying to find a 3" with the bobbed hamer.

If you have a dealer or shop that you deal with ruger will send it to them if they will order it for you then it just drops in. Other wise you have to try and find a used one"GOOD LUCK" .

Well, I don't think it's anything I'd use all year. Just for summertime carry. I think I'm going to just find a regular hammer and put the dremmel to it. Not gonna worry about looks on something for carry so I think it'll be okay. Besides, 99% of the time it'll have a stock hammer.

I cut the hammer off of my 64 SW with a porta band then ground it close on a bench grinder. Then went to draw filing and finally some emery cloth.
It came out just perfect. Now I wish I had kept it.
