Speed Trimming with the Wilson Case Trimmer

Someone asked for a video of me using my Wilson Case Trimmer hooked up to the cordless drill:

I'm trimming about 400 cases per hout at this rate.

I love my Wilson, but if I'm doing more than 50-100 cases, I'm breaking out the Giraud.

I usually work in batches of 250. I can trim, then debur and chamfer all 250 in about 45 minutes. I really want to move to a point where I'm doing everything in 1000-round batches. Then I'll need the Giraud.

I have a friend who has one and I've used it a bit. Is there something you're trying to tell me?

I used to trim on a Forster manual trimmer, and then bought the Giraud and vowed to never go back. I cringed when I paid for it, but after using it, I was in awe.

Very much a "what was I thinking trying to trim 300 cases on that manual trimmer?!?" moment.

The Wilson isn't nearly the pain that the Forster was.

Since you have experience with the Giraud, you already know how awesome it is.

I know what you mean. I had a similar 'what was I thinking' moment after my first session with Dillon's Super Swage.

had to do a search...that Giraud is one sweeeeet machine! Of course for $450 for 1 caliber.....it ought to be.

My shabby budget leans more to the Lee pull-string unit. lol

I have a clamping stand from another company, but I can't recall the name. Kinnerman, or something like that. The clamp flips over, rather than turning.
