Just curious, how far does everyone's gun spit out the shell casings ? I bought a CZ P01 this weekend and it was throwing them out about 8-10 feet on the farm. Today at the indoor range, they kept bouncing off the partition wall and hitting me in the head ARGH !!! I had a couple go down the front of my shirt :what: Ouch those little boogers sure can get hot ! LOL

My RIA throws them over my right shoulder about 10-12 feet. My Ruger P-89 about 8 feet to the right and my wifes Sig P232 about 5-6 lanes down to my right!! It really kicks those lil 380 cases out of it.

Ejection

Heck,I put a new ejector on my Colt Combat Commander and went to the range to try it out. I fired 3 mags(21 shots) and then looked to see where my brass landed.
I looked all around me and didn't see it. I laid the pistol down and started looking. I found the brass had landed at 3 o'clock about 20 ft. away. Never had a 1911 to eject brass like this before

my p22 has its own wheel of fortune, plus the wheel from the price is right.

every time i shoot, it gives them each a big ol spin. the first one decides the direction, and the second decides the elevation. then, BOOM off it goes!

my model 13 just puts them down on the bench ;)

my friend's xd9 will, if you do your part, put every single round into the 6x4" pocket on the lane divider. it's a great trick to show the reloaders at the range ;)

HA!! Tell me about it. At least you don't have a bra on to act as a catch trap. :what: (At least I assume you don't.) Let me tell you there is some TENDER skin in there. ;)

Funny you mention that Misty. My wife has a nice imprint from a 22 casing that slipped down in there a few years ago.

Believe me, I can relate. I already have one C branded in a sensitive area, and the day after the Dr. wrote an order for a certain test that us lucky women get to have I went to the range and had another cartridge decide to give me a second brand. I have yet to schedule that test. :D

The Makarov sends cases into low orbit, though.

+1. If I got into a SD situation with the Mak, I don't know if I'd point the barrel towards the BG or the ejection port. A 21lb recoil spring has helped, but it still chucks brass 10-15 feet.

jmm

I have no idea. I guess I don't pay enough attention to my flying spent casings. :)

Most of the time though, they just fall when I push the ejector rod. :neener:
