PHILADELPHIA -- A suspect arrested in connection with a splash and grab robbery in Camden County now faces charges for similar crimes in Philadelphia.

Kareem Hutt, 24, was arrested by Voorhees Township police for a splash-and-grab robbery and assault at a WaWa convenience store.

According to police, Hutt is one of the men responsible for brutal attacks on convenience store clerks in the tri-state area.

“We do not know if he's involved in all 19, but we believe he is involved in a majority of the 19 crimes,” said Philadelphia Police Department Captain John Gallagher.

Since Feb. 7, 19 stores have been hit by the thieves who throw hot beverages in the faces of cashiers before taking off with money from register drawers.

Investigators said that in one case Hutt is suspected of throwing bleach into the face of a clerk.

Philadelphia investigators and U.S. marshals arrested Hutt in New Jersey on Tuesday. Investigators continue to search for his alleged accomplices.

have any of these cups of coffee gone off by themselves?? The lids need external safeties as well obviously!

Yes, they do go off by themselves.

Remember the elderly woman in Albuquerque who sued McDonalds for scalding herself with hot coffee? She was the only one in her car "professional" enough to handle a cup of coffee.

We need to ban all coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soup, and all hot and/or boiling liquids, solids, or gases immediately, if not sooner. Do it for the children.

Seriously, folks, I hope that everyone knows that it is a serious crime to put salt in hot soup within the limits of New York, Chicago, San Fransisco, Boston, and several other major cities.

Don't get caught doing it or you might get arrested for a salt with a deadly weapon.
