I was in the local SW today and they were restocking primers. They had about everything made by Win, Rem, and Fed, except SP primers. I scored the last brick of CCI LP primers for $27.99. Rem and Winchester were $37-39.00 a brick.
I was in our SW yesterday and the price was about the same as a year ago for Win and CCI. They didn't have any Win SPM or CCI-550's in stock though, but the sales clerk said they would probably have a little bit of everything in stock pretty soon. And they have signs limiting purchaes to 1000 primers and limits on powder per customer. But I was smart and bought a bunch of my components before this panic struck anyway.
My local SW rarely has CCI primers in stock and as soon as they get them, they're gone. My last score was in November when I got 1k SPP for $27.99 during their no tax weekend, I also picked up 8# of Unique and a brick of 22LR "just because" (who knew?).
I'm glad they are not gouging and will continue to support them after this mess is over.
I always thought sportsmans was high priced, but have and will buy from them if they have things. I've noticed most places around me have had large pistol primers. I got a 2300 mile move back to the Hoosier state in a few weeks, hope things are easier to find there
