Was at my Tacti-Cool shop today at the range. Poor session of 357, few 1.5” 10 yard groups but completely inconsistent.

Anyways, something just came into consignment and I handled it, and it felt alright, nothing special, felt better than a $1,000 1911 but not as good as a Les Baer or NightHawk. Very Slight giggle on the slide when it was 1/3 back.

they wanted $2450 with 6 mags and nightsights, dealer said it was shot 50 times.

What you guys think. I’m have a makeup range session Friday, I can take photos then if anybody want to see.

So you went slumming with those lowly Springfields?
I bet you keep them in a separate safe from your other guns don't you?
the dynamics of 1911’s! Love it. tell you what, it that was custom… I hope they shoot good

All joke aside, there’s nothing lowly about SA Custom 1911’s. Completely different than the garden variety production models. They aren’t built any longer, but they are extremely impressive.

Not cheap though. The TGO1 was over $4000 when production stopped.

So they are not made anymore! Definitely taking photos Friday!

Oh my l love Springfield 1911’s that is a very nice gun I have always wanted one of them , but about a year ago I acquired a Springfield Range Officer Elite in 45 to go with my Springfield V-16 Long Slide 45acp/45super and my XD & XDm Elite Precision. Buy that thing the price is right and you will not be disappointed.

OK let’s get serious…

I’m juggling my memory, It was a Professional Operator Custom Shop, with the custom shop logo on the front left side.

like this. Again, Friday, I’ll take photos

The heck with the "Operator" model. I think the classic Springfield Armory Professional is as good as it gets when it comes to a 1911.

No rail, of course, or front-cocking serrations.

Everything you need, nothing you don't need. Got the TRP and a LB TRS, but still want the Pro.

I've been looking for one for a reasonable price for a few years now.

I’ve owned a TRP and a LB tactical carry. Still own the LB. I think the SA is top-notch, but a little pricey for what you get. I’ll stick with LB As I think that’s a better bang for my buck. Not knocking SA, by any means.
some of the LB are too tight, some are just right!

They have old new stocks of Premier for $2700 in Woodenville.

This shop (I pm-ed you the shop name) had a cased LB TRS used for $2000. this shop is starting to price their consignment a bit high

SA Custom and the TRP are two different worlds. You can’t judge a SA Custom 1911 by owning a production model.

I don't think those are stock sights or trigger. I wonder if anything else has been modified on that Professional Operator, and by who.

Yes

Definitely replacement trigger and sights

Here are a couple of pictures of mine (same gun, I've only one of this model, just different grips in photos).
Apparently, there are MIM parts within these builds, but that's not much concern to me.
I somehow dented the grip safety (whether throwing the gun into a range bag or stuff on top of it).

At one time, I'd have wanted the railed version but I find I'll seldom carry either of my two railed 1911s vs. my non-railed ones, if I carry a 1911 at all lately. I'm not searching dark rooms/buildings or detaining folks in the dark for a living anymore.:)

OP, what I think of the price in Post 1 is great, if the sights are ok with you or plan on the cost of replacement sights if a change is wanted. There's usually a nice plastic carrying case/box which come with these pistols too.
