Some background/context on the question-
I got a lefty Stag (m4 profile) for my 11 year old son. He had a stroke as an infant and has strength and fine motor control issues with his right arm/hand. He is right eye dominant. We have done the eye patch thing and he shoots OK with the iron sights on the AR.
Last week, a friend had a scoped rifle (.22 mag) at the range and let my son shoot it. He went from being OK at 50 yards to being Dead Eye Dick/Tom Berenger (Sniper) at 100. He tore it up and loved it. He wants to stay with the left handed AR but would like a scoped set up. I'm planning on replacing the collapsible rear stock with a fixed A1, and working on improving his cheek weld (will switch to A2 as he grows).
I'd like to put a 20" barrel on the gun and set it up for scoped use. Will any barrel work, or do I need to buy one specifically made by Stag to fit left hand receivers? Sorry for the long story to ask a short question. Thanks!
