I have a Star 9mm Model BS. Great pistol, tack driver, problem- hammer bite.(see photos) I love to shoot this pistol but, every time I do I get hammer bite. Adding a up swept beaver means a lot of custom work and reblueing. I thought about bobbing the hammer but, I'm not a gunsmith and this scares me. Any suggestions? No, I don't care to wear a glove when I shoot.

Slightly lower grip might help, but if not possible; I've used a nice rd. file & emory cloth to smooth over spots on hammer & tang on some previous guns.
